PROBLEM STATEMENT
UCI students struggle to plan efficient, multi-step trips beyond UCI without access to a car.
Existing navigation tools require juggling multiple apps, manually comparing costs, and relying on unverified advice scattered across the internet.
How might we help UCI students plan multi-step travel beyond campus by leveraging peer experience and real-world student knowledge?
Welcome to Go, Zot, Go!
Think Reddit, But for Student Travel.
A place where students share, rate, and pass down tried-and-true routes that are more affordable, reliable, and realistic.
THE WHY
During ideation, we realized that while our team members were all students from California, none were from Irvine. This highlighted a common challenge:
Navigating campus is manageable.
Navigating Irvine and beyond without a car is not.
01 DEFINE
Every Anteater’s travel guide.
Working under tight time constraints, we searched for a problem that we as UCI students could relate to.
Transportation immediately stood out.
Keep this in mind for later!
This project was done for UCI’s annual Web Jam. I collaborated with a developer team of 3 and tackled a scope I had never handled before as the solo designer.
Trips home for breaks.
Flights out of state.
Travel to Los Angeles, San Diego, or other universities.

STUDENT
I just found out about this road and ever since then I’ve gotten to class early and never missed the bus. Thanks Jessica!

CREATOR
This is one of my favorite routes! I highly recommend. I’m graduating soon, so I hope I can show some new anteaters quick shortcut.
